I'm offering over 2,850 photographs / files of blueprint and schematic drawings from the collection in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Museum.
These are not something that I went on the internet and downloaded. Someone travelled to Fort Lee and personally photographed all the small sheet drawings in their collection. 9.16 Gigabites total - all on one huge Memory Stick* (see note at the bottom). They photographed everything in the small print collection. Some years ago these drawings were printed from microfilm onto 18" x 24" paper and placed in binders. About 10% of the drawings are doubles (since there were doubles in the collection). That said, there is lots and lots of information here. There is lots that I'm sure you have never seen before.
Drawings date from the late 1910s to about 1956, with the majority dated to WWII. These are the drawings for ordnance-type items that the U.S. Quartermaster either made or purchased from other vendors. Topics range from Webgear, Horse Equipment, Insignia, Kitchen & Field Ovens, Bake Trailers, Tents and Tool Kits. Each photo has been cropped, cleaned up and then orginized into folders.
I have been amazed at some of the items that are shown in these drawings, items I have never seen before. There is lots of the most random and boring items as well as incredible items that will truely fascinate you and leaving you wondering where you can buy an original from! The marksman award from the 1920s for the BAR is my personal favorite.I purchased this information from a seller in the U.S., but as he will not ship to the UK in any sensible means (charging over £ 30 for three CD's), I decided I would make them affordable.
Just remember, you are getting a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD, not 2900+ paper drawings in the mail!
These are now being offered only via digital data transfer. You give me your email address and you'll get 5 links to click on, each one will give you a folder full of photos. Everthing is sorted into nice sensible catagories that make it very easy to find things. Of course, once you've downloaded them, you can rearrange to your heart's content!
